Our Story: 30 Years of Craft
The Architecture of a Perfect Pie

At RustBelt Pizza, we believe a great pizza is more than just a meal—it’s a feat of engineering. Our founder is a 30-year veteran of the industry, having spent three decades perfecting the regional styles that define the heart of North America. After years of operating some of Ottawa’s most respected independent pizzerias, the journey has led home to 953 Notre Dame St. in Embrun.

Four Iconic Styles. Zero Compromises.
RustBelt was built on a simple idea: if you’re going to do something, do it right. We’ve brought together the four heavy-hitters of the "Industrial Classics," using the specialized equipment and techniques required to make each one authentic:
-
The 613 Original: The Ottawa legend. Thick, pillowy dough with toppings tucked under a heavy blanket of Saputo Gold mozzarella.
-
Detroit Square: Baked in authentic blue steel pans for that legendary "frico" caramelized cheese crust.
-
Chicago Deep Dish: A true "knife and fork" masterpiece with a buttery, biscuit-style crust and chunky plum tomato sauce.
-
Tavern Thin: The "Party Cut" cracker-crust classic—rolled ultra-thin and baked until it shatters.
The RustBelt Standard
We aren't a franchise, and we don't rely on third-party apps. We are an independent, family-run shop that believes in direct-to-neighbor service. From using fresh local Italian sausage to firing every pie in our Garland Air Deck ovens, we control every step of the process.
In our house, we value structure, quality, and the perfect bake. Whether you're a fan of the 613 tradition or looking for an authentic taste of the Midwest, we’ve built something special for you.
Welcome to the Belt.
